eBay... Feedback Feuds...

Admittedly time management is not my strongest forte & so it makes a nice change to post my Monday Moan during daylight hours & not in a mad panic at the end of the day! 

I'm a big fan of eBay & over the past couple of years I've picked up some great finds at bargain prices.. Overall I've been pretty lucky, only once have I been sent the wrong item & as I remember it was fairly easily resolved. 

So, what's my moan?
Well, the long of the short of it is that I'm fed up of sellers not leaving me feedback... Whenever I make a purchase on eBay, I make a conscious effort to pay immediately & I like to leave feedback within a few days of receiving the item... Early this year, I ordered a skirt, it's lovely, despite not truly fitting the description the seller gave I was still happy with my order... I left positive feedback, because everything was fine, service was quick & I wasn't ripped off with the postage & so all in all it was a positive experience UNTIL I received an email from the seller asking me to leave her feedback...

Quite frankly, I think it's downright rude that she would ask me to leave her feedback, without doing so first... I was the purchaser & I paid immediately, therefore I had complied to my side of the deal!

I replied & explained that I had left feedback; I gave the date & details & I asked the seller to leave me feedback as she had not done so.

 I sent the email & have since heard nothing, not a thank-you, no feedback, nothing.

It really grinds my gears, especially as I'm trying to build a good eBay reputation. It doesn't take long to write a couple of words & click a few buttons, especially if it's your business *grumbles*

Unfortunately, this has happened to me on 3 occasions. I have learnt my lesson & will not leave feedback until, I have received feedback. If I don't receive feedback within 1 week of my receiving my purchase, I will send an email & I do not receive a reply, within a few days, I'm going to leave neutral feedback...

Once you've left feedback, you can't revoke it or edit it.
In hindsight, if a seller doesn't leave feedback, especially when the purchaser has paid immediately, they don't deserve 100% positive feedback, because their customer service isn't all that good. 

What has led me to this rant? Well, I've just bought myself a new designer skirt for work: postage included it came to less than a fiver!

*fingers crossed* it arrives soonish, along with my feedback!

  1. I'm so with you on this, I find people rarely bother to leave me feedback and it pees me off because I always make the effort to! >:( xx

  2. People on eBay can be such morons... like really, really stupid. It infuriates me when people don't leave feedback, are rude, don't pay, etc. GRR.
