Having just finished my degree, I've been feeling pretty run down & my skin in particular has been feeling dehydrated. I decided to look for a pick-me-up face mask, which wasn't too harsh, yet worked effectively. After having browse on the Lush website, I decided to give the Cupcake Fresh Face Mask a try... Cupcake has a scrumptious chocolate scent & has a batter-esque texture. The formulation is quite thick & it must be kept in the fridge, because it has no artificial preservatives. It's cool application is instantly refreshing.
This face mask has been designed for younger skin, Lush describe is as: Chocolate heaven for oily teenage skin. Helps absorb excess oil and calm breakouts. Cocoa butter, linseed and cocoa powder soften with balancing spearmint and sandalwood oils.
Cupcake is a 'fresh face mask' and so it contains no artificial preservatives. Fresh face masks must be kept in the fridge & have an estimated 3 week shelf life.

How to use: Take out of the fridge, apply a generous layer over the face, avoiding the eyes. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes, the wash off with warm water. Just try not to eat this delicious chocolate face mask.
Application: You can use your finger tips to apply cupcake, just like other mud masks.
Overall: I decided to try the mask at night, because I often wake up in the morning with an oily t-zone. I left the mask on for 10 minutes & over the time I could feel it tightening, but it wasn't uncomfortable. I used a muslin cloth to remove the mask and automatically felt the benefits. The morning after, my skin felt toned and refreshed. I could easily fall into the habit of using the mask everyday, however it is recommended that it is used twice a week.
