This soap is beautiful & creamy. It is scented with white-tea infusion, rose absolute, rose oil & sicilian lemon oil & decorated with a royal-blue lustre. It is sure to leave your skin feeling soft & sensual.

A truly romantic gesture, which will last longer than chocolates & roses.

The Willow Pattern Story: As told by Lush
Once there was a wealthy Mandarin, who had a beautiful daughter (Koong-se). She had fallen in love with her father's humble accounting assistant (Chang), angering her father (it was inappropriate for them to marry due to their difference in social class). He dismissed the young man and built a high fence around his house to keep the lovers apart. The Mandarin was planning for his daughter to marry a powerful Duke. The Duke arrived by boat to claim his bride, bearing a box of jewels as a gift. The wedding was to take place on the day the blossom fell from the willow tree.

On the eve of the daughter's wedding to the Duke, the young accountant, disguised as a servant, slipped into the palace unnoticed. As the lovers escaped with the jewels, the alarm was raised. They ran over a bridge, chased by the Mandarin, whip in hand. They eventually escaped on the Duke's ship to the safety of a secluded island, where they lived happily for years. But one day, the Duke learned of their refuge. Hungry for revenge, he sent soldiers, who captured the lovers and put them to death. The Gods, moved by their plight, transformed the lovers into a pair of doves.

♡ The Kiss ~ Lip Gloss
£5.50 // 10g
Pucker Up For Heavens Scent... {placebo}
This lip gloss is fabulous naked on the lips, or as an accompaniment to your favourite loved-up lippy! It's lightly shimmered, vegan friendly & preservative free, so it's perfect for kissing everybody! Not only does it leave your lips feeling plump, soft & kissable, it also tastes delicious!

Seriously, get this on your lips & share the love!

When Feeling Blue, Is Good For You...

Hey Glameroons,

I've got something a little different for you today...

According to the NHS, it is thought that 1 in 15 Britons become depressed during the winter & suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder & many more, suffer from lowered spirits, also known as the  winter blues during the winter months...

The term feeling blue is often used to describe feelings of sadness... Which brings me to question, why during the summer months do we associate blue with blue skies; blue seas, sunshine & beaches, yet in the winter it's considered to be the opposite.

The colour blue is considered to illustrate calmness, serenity & loyalty... However blue is also often described as a cold & somewhat depressing colour.

Here are a couple of lovely blues, which are sure to lift your mood...
You know what they say? If you can't beat them join them!

LUSH Christmas, Discontinued Products & Dupes 2012 {Bath & Bubbles #1}

If you haven't already read the first part of my Lush Christmas discontinued dupes for 2012, you can read it here. I've previously shared alternatives for Snow Fairy, Twilight & Ponche & now it's time for me to share with you some bubble-tastic bath-time swaps...

First up, is one of my favourites, Candy Mountain {it always reminds me of Charlie the Unicorn}. Candy Mountain shares exactly the same scent as the year round available Creamy Candy Bath, so if you're all out of your seasonal stock, you have a great alternative!

Creamy Candy is suitable for all skin types & it contains chunks of cocoa butter which makes it super softening on the skin. It a lovely sweet vanillary scent similarly to Rockstar Soap.

Following on, it's the glamorous Golden Wonder!

Words cannot describe just how beautiful the Golden Wonder is... It's champagne; cognac & sweet orange scent is heavenly! Golden Wonder is a slow paced dual-layer ballistic, it foams, fizzes, changes colour & shoots out sparkly golden stars.

Being totally honest, there isn't an exact dupe for the Golden Wonder however, I would suggest cocktailing the Dragons Egg Ballistic with the glitteriffic Sunny-Side bubble-bar

This will give you foamy, fizzy, colour changing, sweet orange scented experience.

Another cocktail for you, to replicate the tonka & neroli scented Santa's Sack...

Santa's Sack is a reusable bubble bar, which can be used for a whopping 10 baths!

My two suggestions to replicate the festive experience of Santa's Sack are the frankincense & patchouli Blue Skies (& fluffy clouds) cocktailed with the orange oil & patchoili Karma Bubble Bar... With both bars, as with the Santa's Sack pieces can be broken off for multiple baths.

The smell won't be identical, but it'll be festive none-the-less.

If you're familiar with LUSH, you will be more than aware that not only do they produce beautiful, fresh, handmade cosmetics but they are also an incredibly prominent campaigning company at the forefront of the beauty industry & more importantly they are an active voice on our high-streets...

LUSH make no bones about their drive to campaign for human rights, animal rights & environmental rights, not to mention their delicious Charity Pot!

Kicking off the new year in style,  with a 2week campaign, LUSH have joined forces with eclectic fashioner designer Dame Vivienne Westwood to bring to us, Climate Revolution

So what's it all about?

Studies have shown that CO2 emissions have put our planet onto a path to a 6 degree rise in global temperature by 2100... It may not sound like much, but this could result in the extinction of approximately 95% of species living on the planet.

*~* Shop Less, Kiss More *~*

What we CAN do to help:
The campaign suggests...

The United Kingdom is one of the richest countries in the world. Every time we shop, we use our buying power... We can make our opinions known, we shop with our feet. The most influential thing we can do is to spend our pennies more wisely.

Need inspiration? Check out Greenpeace's Detox Campaign.
Break the bag habit - say no to plastic bags
Shop locally & in particular cut down (or give up) meat.

Oil companies are making extreme & dangerous decisions... Not only are they making a hole in our pockets, they're making a hole in the habitats of animals such as polar bears - nowhere is safe from their drills... Cuddle up & keep the heating off!

Did you know... The Arctic is the only part of the world which doesn't belong to anybody... You can join Greenpeace & demand that we save the Arctic

Travel light
~ burn fat & not carbon

The glamourous & delightful smelling Helga of Lush Reading!
This is only the tip of the iceberg...

Together, LUSH & Vivienne Westwood aim to raise awareness & provoke thought, with shop window displays, postcards, badges & petitions all of which have been designed by Vivienne Westwood...

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day 30

Lush is extremely notorious for being a very ethical company in terms of their sourcing and campaigning, as well as all the green initiatives they take for packaging. The fact that all products are 100% vegetarian and 80% are vegan, plus all solid products don’t have a preservative attracts many as well. Are Lush’s ethics a reason why you use Lush products?

Fighting Animal Testing & many other good causes!
The simple answer is to this, is yes...

One of my bug bears is when products are not clearly labelled, whether or not they are suitable for vegetarians or vegans, at Lush everything is clearly labelled, so the consumer know's exactly what they're getting.

This weekend, the Guardian Newspaper published an article whereby Ethical Consumer magazine had complied a list of shops which are not putting their company profits into a tax haven & Lush featured #1.

Not only this, in 2012 Lush were awarded Which? consumer magazines award for best customer service, voted for by customers!

Lush are a very prominent campaigning company, focusing on animal rights; human rights & environmental issues... With each of the campaigns, a specific product will be produced to support the campaign. As a consumer if you do not agree with the campaign, you can still shop at Lush & just avoid buying that particular product...

Contrary to belief it's extremely easy to be an ethical, cruelty free, consumer. Companies like Lush make ethical shopping extraordinary & not out of the ordinary...

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day 29

Uh-oh. The world pretty much ended and you’re all alone on a deserted island and you don’t have your Lush stash (if the world hadn’t ended yet, it has now!). You get to have a unlimited supply of ONE (that is a very clear rule: one) Lush product for the rest of your lonely life on this island. You do have access to a shower/bath/whatever you need to use the product.
What ONE product do you choose to be the only product you ever use again during the rest of your miserable, lonely life?

When I first read this question, I thought it was going to be really tough, but then it hit me, like a cupboard door to the face... The product I would choose to use for the rest of my miserable, lonely life would quite simply be FUN... Do I have to choose a scent? *rolls eyes*

FUN is a fabulous invention, created especially for the young at heart!
FUN can be used to create bubbles, like a bubble bar... It can be used like a soap... It can be used to wash hair & clothing & whilst on the island, totally bored I might mould myself some friends!

SUCH FUN!

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day 28

Do you use the designated Lush tins to store
any of your products?

massage bars, solid shampoos, body butters, etc.

Indeed I do! The tins are a great way of protecting some of the more delicate & oily products, for example the
massage bars...

The tins are also a lovely way to present gifts &
 they're great for travelling!

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day 27

Congratulations! You’ve won a trip to visit the factory, and part of your prize includes you getting to create and design your own personal product...
What would your product be? (type, scent, purpose, etc.)

Making my own personalised product sounds like heaven, having said that I've had the pleasure of making a creamy candy bubble bar at a Lush party ^__^

I'm going to go all out with my product & suggest a dual-layer ballistic, think Dragons Egg; Twilight & Fizzbanger... The scent would have to be mixed berries, with neroli, orange oil & bergamot. These essential oils are uplifting -
TOP TIP: Bergamot is used to treat Seasonal Affective Disorder!

As a stand alone scent, Bergamot smells amazing!

For an additional WOW I'd add some silver glitter, think Sunny Side, Space Girl & the perhaps I'd add a cheeky silver glitter cube in the middle, Dragons Egg style!

Not only would I add glitter, but I think popping candy would be essential (Cinders, Space Girl, Party Popper) & perhaps even some honey-dew melon soap confetti (Party Popper).

It's purpose, is quite simply to make one casually smell awesome!

& for sheer self indulgence, I'd name it Pixee ^__-

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day 26

✿ Have you attended any of the forum or chat parties? ✿
✿ If so, which (if any) limited edition products did you order? ✿

I haven't attended any forum parties.
I've been to in-store product launches & have picked up a number of 'limited edition' products including the gorgeous Twilight Shower Gel; The Enchanter ballistic & the ever-so-cute
Callacas Shower Jelly.

Do you have any limited edition Lush goodies?

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day 25

✿ What’s your must-have-on-hand-at-all-times product that you might die without?
✿ (Okay, dramatic, but not really for Lushies ;D)

I would have to choose the delicious lip-scrubs!

I have quite a collection as I used to have a bad habit of mis-placing
them & buying new ones...

The Lip Scrubs are a year-round must have!

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day 24

Do you use the Henna hair dye?

✿ If so, what enticed you to try it? If not, would you ever consider it?

Henna hair dye is not something I've used before & from what I've read it can be quite tricky, however, Lush Henna does not contain metals & has superb conditioning properties...

Perhaps the next time, I fancy some reddish or orange tones, I might give it a go!

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day Twenty-Two

✿ What areas of the products available that you haven’t dived into at all? ✿
✿ (Example – you haven’t tried any of the skincare, etc.) What’s holding you back? ✿

I have tried almost every area of Lush products, I have been scrub, buffed, polished, smothered & decorated, however I have yet to try any of their deodorants!

It's not that I don't want to try them, I just have a fairly big stash to work through as I have a habit of temporarily misplacing them, buying a new one & then finding the original one!

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day Twenty-One

✿  What’s your must-have body lotion/moisturiser/body butter/smoothie/etc?

It's difficult to only pick the one! I absolutely adore the body butters, they're so hassle free... Buffy, Aqua Mirablis & You Snap The Whip all allow you to wash, exfoliate & moisturise at the same time in the shower, or bath - this is great for me as I'm always running out of time!

I absolutely love the blackcurrant scent of You Snap The Whip.. mmm *yummy*

Which products will you be sad to say goodbye to?

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day Twenty

✿ What’s your go-to exfoliant – body or face?

My go-to exfoliant has to be Rub Rub Rub, because although it's predominantly a body scrub, I have also used it on my face... It's absolutely fabulous!

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day Nineteen

✿ Have you used any of the knot wraps?
✿ Which design is your favourite?

I haven't used the knot-wraps yet, however I'm going to make a conscious effort to do so for Christmas gifts... At £3.95 I think they're a great addition to any gift & more useful than a gift bag!

Having said that, between my friends & family when it comes to gift bags, we have an unwritten rule - do not write on the tag! This way, we recycle the bags between ourselves.

"...waste not, wan't knot..."
                                                      lush

my favourite design? mm.. I like the vintage scarves because they can be individually chosen to suit the person, their personality & their gift(s).

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day Eighteen

✿ Are you a soap fanatic or a shower gel junkie?

✿ If you could use only three soaps or shower gels for the rest of your life, which would you pick? ✿

(Because what avid Lushie could only pick one?)

I absolutely love Lush soaps, although of course the shower gels are lovely too!

♥ Dirty Springwash

♥ Rock Star

♥ Sexy Peel

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day Seventeen

✿ If someone was to buy you a wrapped gift tomorrow,
which one would you want? ✿ Other than Lush Legends! ✿

To be honest, if somebody was buying me a gift just because they were thinking of me, I'd be happy with any of them...

If however, I was treating myself I would choose The Sweetest Thing &/or Don't Knock It Till You've Tried It (because I love the limited edition tin).

The Sweetest Thing

✿ Shimmy Shimmy Massage Bar ✿
✿ Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly ✿
✿ Rockstar Soap ✿

Don't Knock It Till You've Tried it

✿ Blackberry Ballistic ✿
✿ The Comforter Bubble Bar ✿
✿ Each Peach Massage Bar ✿
✿ Karma Komba Solid Shampoo ✿
✿ Sexy Peel Fresh Soap ✿
✿ You've Been Mangoed Bath Melt ✿

30 Day Lush Challenge: Day Sixteen

✿ Do you use hair masks, foot treatment products or face masks regularly?

✿ What’s your ultimate at-home Lush spa night?

Did somebody say a night in?! Corr, when do I have time for a night in?... mm, if I could find the time, my ultimate at-home Lush Spa Night would include a little bit of everything,
think: Heads, Shoulders, Knees & Toes...
hair treatments, face masks, massage bars, toner tabs & foot soaks

I'm a big fan of the fresh face masks &
usually have a selection living in my fridge!

I didn't want to write a post which was too picture heavy or basically a shopping list, so keep posted for my 'post-fest ~ pamper sesh' post which I shall be uploading during the week!
